Therapy Services

Q. How do I start therapy?
Typically we meet for an initial consultation to determine personal fit and goals, answer questions, and determine a consistent meeting time. We strive to create a safe space in which we can explore with privacy and confidentiality.
Q: How long are sessions?
Sessions are typically 45 minutes for individuals and 60 minutes for couples.
Q: How long does therapy last?
Each person is unique. How long you stay in therapy depends on the scope and complexity of issues addressed and your desire to continue. The first couple of sessions will help us determine the optimal context as well as the broad concepts of your therapeutic goals.
Q. What issues do you treat?
I treat a wide variety of issues including depression (loneliness, feeling blah, unmotivated, hopeless, tearful), anxiety (worrying a lot about different things, tension, problems sleeping), relationship issues (problems trusting, conflict with family, in-laws, co-workers, finding a partner), shame (never feeling good enough, addicted to accomplishments), career dilemmas (hating your job but feeling stuck, changing careers, job loss) and low self-esteem (lacking confidence in one’s abilities, undeserving of good things). I work primarily with adults and adolescents.
Q. What about medication? Medication can be a valuable addition in addition to talk therapy. We have a trusted network of referrals to offer you.
